Easter Egg Hunt at School

The girls were all geared up for their Easter Egg Hunt at school. We'd been practicing at home and they were pros. Their school does a great job organizing this hunt. My favorite idea is that they have the parents send in egg cartons. The kids decorate them, and then they use them to hunt their Easter eggs! It's a great way to make sure that everyone gets an equal amount. Once your carton is full, you're finished!
Mckinley - first egg of the hunt
Mary Elizabeth's second egg!
Mckinley - hard at work! Searching under the tunnel.

Teamwork!

I love this sweet face. Total excitement! I saw the egg, I climbed up there, and I got it!

Peek-a-boo Egg, I see you!

Pure joy! Woohoo Daddy! Another one for me!

Mary Elizabeth sitting down and exploring her loot.

This was hilarious!!! I just love that face of Mckinley's that I captured! They found a worm on the playground, she went over to check it out, and then ...ugh! No, thanks!

Us room moms had to come up with a book to read, a craft, and a game. Here's our craft. Look girls, see your Mommy was a part of your lives! Thanks Daddy for taking a picture with me in it. Sometimes I think they're going to look back at the pictures from their lives and think I was never there.

My ham!

She's so silly!

Now time for Silly Kimmy!

Our game. Here's fellow room mom, Elise. Pin the egg in the Easter egg basket! Emmie's turn.

Mckinley's turn. Mckinley was so funny doing this. All the other kids walked up, slapped the egg on the basket, cheered, and went on. Mckinley, goes up there, stands, looks, then tries her hardest to put the egg IN the 2D basket. Then her teacher, Miss Rita, looks at me and said, "That's Mckinley. She's so literal. You said IN the basket, so that's what she's trying to do." God love her. Whose child is she???

Woohoo! Upside sun glasses and sucker time!
