Easter Morning

This was our most special Easter morning yet. Because, like everything else, the girls are understanding more and more and that makes it more fun for us. A tradition that my parents started that I've continued is an Easter egg tree. It marks a spot for the Easter bunny to leave the Easter baskets. When I decorated the Easter tree this year I explained to the girls that was where the Easter bunny would leave their Easter baskets and they got so excited. The night before Easter we told them that the Easter bunny would be coming the next morning and we asked them what they wanted. Mckinley said, "Ponies" and Mary Elizabeth said, "Princesses." Score! And, the best part, it got them to go to sleep that night!!! Awesome!
Here's what the girls saw Easter morning.
A close-up of their baskets.
Here's Mckinley, Easter morning, ready to go see if the Easter bunny came.

Mary Elizabeth and her "Come ON Mommy!"face

Mary Elizabeth clapping her sweet little hands. She was so excited that he left her something. She even said, "Thank you Easter Bunny" without me even having to remind her.

Trying to carry their loot back to the house. Mary Elizabeth, "It's heavy, Mommy."

Mary Elizabeth with her princesses.

Mckinley with her ponies. She knows all their names.

Mary Elizabeth trying out her new toothbrush.

Mckinley giving hers a spin.

This is probably my favorite picture I've ever taken. I love this moment that I captured.
