Both girls loved all the festivities associated with camping. They loved grilling out, roasting marshmallows and being outside. We ate our dinner outside, which they loved and Mary Elizabeth was all excited about her sleeping bag. (The each of blow up mattresses with sleeping bags on top.) They would both run in and out of the tent, zip up the door, and had a blast. Mary Elizabeth was so excited about sleeping outside in her sleeping bag, but when the time came she laid down for awhile and then she asked me if she could go sleep inside in her bed. So, we both slept great inside. Mckinley stayed outside with her Daddy. She slept great! He said she didn't make a peep all night. She loved it! There was one time when they heard an owl and it scared Louis. Mckinley told me all about how the owl scared Daddy the next morning. Then she proceeded to ask if she could have a baby owl. I guess she's not too concerned about her daddy's fears.
The girls found my old pinatas from my days as a Spanish teacher and rode them like horses!
