Every Christmas Eve we spend the day with Louis' family. We eat a yummy lunch, open presents, and have fun.
Here's a photo of all of the grand kids waiting patiently in front of all their presents. In birth order: Hannah (11), Alex (10), Trent (4), Ansley (2), and Mckinley and Mary Elizabeth (16 months). Also, Erin and Ashley's daughter, Rylee (6 months). On Christmas Eve, at home... Mckinley in her "fort" between the chair and the ottoman in the den, talking to her elf.Mary Elizabeth rocking her elf to sleep with her daddy. We are breaking the rules, our elf will be unnamed until our girls give him a name. Hopefully, when he returns next Christmas.
The first two gifts that the girls opened were from Nana and Papa - their chairs and their stuffed Curious Georges. Mckinley was so content that she sat there in her chair with her George through the whole present thing. She didn't care if she got another gift. (She loved them all after I opened them for her of course.) Mary Elizabeth loved her George and chair too, but she was really into opening the presents. She sat with Daddy and helped him open all of her presents.
They loved the strollers that Uncle Clifford, Aunt Melanie, Trent and Ansley gave them.
Traffic jam!!!!
Smooth sailing again! Mary Elizabeth's tongue is out when she's concentrating, just like her mom does.
Mckinley sitting with Rylee right in the middle of all the chaos. She was so not interested until it was all over. She would tear the paper into even smaller pieces and hand them to Rylee!
Mckinley fastening her My Little Pony in for the ride.
Mary Elizabeth playing with Ansley with her toy. It's so neat to see them interacting with their cousins now.
Trent is into the cowboy thing now. It's so cute! We gave him a cowboy dress-up outfit and he wore it all night! Here he's making Martians with Alex.
Mary Elizabeth sporting Daddy's new hat! She's such a hoot!
Back at home on Christmas Eve. Mary Elizabeth fastening her baby in while keeping one eye on the Rudolph claymation movie. Mckinley and her "Guh-Guh."
Mckinley giving Guh-Guh her version of a hot stone massage! He, he!
Chillaxing in their new chairs in front of the TV.
Okay, you've been spared long enough. Here's some of my artist attempts. Here's a shot of the milk and cookies we left for Santa. I've made cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve Eve for the past two years. Chocolate Chip. Santa has told us that he doesn't like anything "fancy" in his cookies! :-) Maybe next year the girls will be interested in helping Mommy bake.
Daddy and his girls in their Christmas pajamas ready to go "night-night" and wait for Santa.
Stay tuned to find out if Mckinley and Mary Elizabeth were good little girls and if Santa ate all of his cookies and drank all of his milk!
I'm a mommy to beautiful twin girls. I'm married to my loving, caring husband that I met in Spain. I love my life and I love sharing our everyday blessings with others.
