Our Fabulous Aunts

The girls are blessed to have wonderful aunts. Aunt Julia and Auntie M don't have kids of their own yet, so they're especially wonderful. They spend lots of time with their nieces and devote a lot of attention to them.
A couple Sundays ago, after fishing, the girls went to Papa's barn to see the baby chicks and Papa's mule with Aunt Julia.

Then, last Saturday, after my run, Auntie M took the girls with me to Pool's Mill park. We had fun playing with the swings and going down the slides.

The girls going down the slide. Notice Mckinley's box of side walk chalk. That had to go with her everywhere she went. She REFUSED to put it down.

Mary Elizabeth driving. She took one piece of chalk, the only piece Mckinley would let her have, and drew on everything in the park. Notice her wet hair. The slides were still a little wet from the rain the night before and she had a blast splashing in the puddles at the bottom of the slides.

Climbing up onto the playground with the chalk.

Mary Elizabeth found a fossil. She marked it with her chalk.

Mckinley wanted to be a big girl and swing on the big girl swing.

This is what happened when we tried to put her in the kiddie swing.

Then she started marking on herself.

Mckinley was content just holding the big girl swing.

Mary Elizabeth all marked up and having a blast!

Thank you to our wonderful aunts that love us and spend lots of time with us. We love you back.
