Friday night was Louis' first Spring Game at Lambert High School. The girls had a blast watching the game and climbing the stairs. They seem to be at home no matter where they go. It was weird being somewhere other than Sequoyah, but I like it. Lambert is a BEAUTIFUL school and it has a very nice stadium. The parents and fans were very supportive of the coaches and the players played great. I'm really optimistic about this place. It just has a good VIBE, ya know? I just feel like everyone is positive there, which is such a nice change.
A couple memories - after the game the girls saw their daddy and did not like him having to leave to collect equipment. So, Mckinley found a total stranger, grabbed her hand, and drug her all around the visitors locker rooms, around the other side of the building, to the storage room where her daddy was! I was shocked! Mckinley is normally shy and it was SO out of character. The lady was so sweet. She walked that whole way with her. She even said that she was honored that Mckinley chose her. Some people just have good hearts. Then, Justin and another coach, Aubrey, took the girls for a ride on the golf cart. Mary Elizabeth went with Justin, who she knows well, but Mckinley went right to Aubrey, who she just met that night! Two strangers in one night!!! Afterwards, we went on a tour of the school and the girls had the biggest time running and laughing down the big, open hallways.
We're very proud of Daddy and everything he has done to start this program up at Lambert. It looks like it will be a successful one.
