In my house growing up, it was a tradition that the Easter Bunny left your Easter Basket filled with goodies outside under a special tree, The Easter Egg Tree. You had to decorate a tree every year at your house so the Easter Bunny would know where to leave your baskets. Every Easter morning, we would get up, go outside, and go find our Easter baskets. Mine was always wrapped in purple cellophane, and Miranda's was always wrapped in pink. That's how we knew who's was who's. I'm trying to continue the same tradition at our house. Mckinley is the oldest (by 3 minutes) so she gets purple and Mary Elizabeth gets pink.
Here are the girls headed outside to find their baskets.
Excitement!!!! What is this???
Trying to pick up our baskets and carry them back to the house.
Mary Elizabeth pulling her goodies out of her basket.
Mckinley going through hers.
Easter morning went very well. Mckinley didn't want to come in to open her basket. She wanted to stay "Out sigh!!!" So, we had a slight meltdown. But, she quickly recovered once she saw Mary Elizabeth tearing through her basket. It was a lot of fun watching them go through their baskets by themselves. We didn't have to hand them things and say, "Look!" The first thing each of them went to were their new sippies. After breakfast, they had to color with their new crayons and coloring books. Very fun. Afterwards, we headed down to Musella, GA to celebrate Easter with Louis' family. Pictures will soon follow.
