When we brought the girls home from seeing the movie, they were so tired and ready for a nap. It was so cute though, Mckinley refused to take off her jacket, her socks, and her shoes. As we'd fight her to get them off she'd try to put them back on or hold them against her in their spots. It was as if she knew that when those things were off that it was nap time and her fun day was coming to an end. It was like that symbolized the end of her wonderful day and she did not want to see it come to an end! :-) Precious.
That night, after naps, we went to Blockbuster and rented some movies. We allowed the girls to each get a box of candy. We let them hold them while sitting in their car seats, on the way home, in the car. I thought they'd just enjoy shaking the boxes of candy and making noise. A few minutes later, Louis said, "Something doesn't sound right." He turns around and Mary Elizabeth has got a box of Reese's Pieces turned up and is pouring them in her mouth!!! She chewed through the box and opened it!!! She was having a grand old time chowing down while Louis and I talked on the way home!!! She's sneaky!
Okay, here's some pictures from Wednesday.
Wednesday was pretty windy, so we put on our clothes and played in the sand. We love the sand and had a blast!
That night, we put on our jackets (since it got even chillier when the sun went down) and headed out to Barefoot Landing. In case you haven't been to North Myrtle Beach, it's a great place to shop, eat, and have fun. They have fish/turtle food vending machines - so we bought some food and feed the turtles and fish. The girls loved it since they love animals!
Feeding the fish and turtles. When we ran out of food, both of the girls said, "Bye -bye, turtle." Their voices are so sweet, they'd melt your hearts.
Then, we saw a "Moo, Cow" They love cows recently and love to say moo. Mckinley cried when we left the moo cow and we had to tell him, "bye, bye."
The last thing we did before dinner was ride the carousel as a family. Very fun. And, we got a rare family shot. I felt I was able to trust the security guard with our camera. :-) They love to ride "horsies." We had a slight melt down when we had to leave the horsies too.
Again, another great family day. We built memories every day during that trip that Louis and I will treasure forever. These are special times with our little ones.
